On Feb 7, 2024, Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla) stood on the Senate floor to discuss a bi-partisan border security bill. But he said that Republican Senators had been telling him to let the Presidential Election solve the border problem. In subsequent interviews (see "DJT Killed It"), Sen Lankford acknowledged the Senators were acting on the wishes of Trump. Sen Lankford went on to say that a popular commentator threatened to destroy him if he went forward with a bill to solve the border crisis.
